Join us on February 7th for another fabulous FoodRx event led by Certified Executive Chef and director of Coastal Community College’s Culinary Arts program, Matt Palamara. We will gather at 5:30pm at the USA Health teaching kitchen in Fairhope for a healthy cooking class followed by a gourmet dinner of our own making. Menu TBD. Registration is currently open and is required as space is limited. We are only able to accommodate 20 participants at each event. Cost is $50 per person. Our “FoodRx Healthy Cooking Class” brings 20 dinner guests together to enjoy a hands-on, healthy cooking workshop with nutritional insights and health statistics from local physicians, nurses, dietitians and a professional chef. FoodRx events are meant to share the positive impact culinary medicine and evidence-based nutrition have on health and disease. After a brief presentation, class participants divide into groups, each preparing a portion of dinner before enjoying the communal meal together around the dinner table.
