A book signing will follow the video screening.

About Champ

Champ Napier is a native of one of the poorest cities in the United States, Prichard, AL. He witnessed the death of his father at a young age, dropped out of school at 15, and participated in a life of crime, resulting in Champ being sentenced to life in prison for first murder and seven years at 18. After nearly 15 years in prison, Champ denounced his past, and he is now committed to uplifting his community and beyond. In 2015, Champ became the first person in Alabama to receive a pardon.

Champ has published two books: “Poverty and Prison” and “Servant of the People.” In his free time, he mentors youth and speaks at schools and churches. He works to educate people on the social inequities that are destroying the under-served community.

As young people say, “Mr. Champ is Real!”
