April 4th Event Description:
In honor of Earth Day, Kristin Alpine of Wildflowers & Fresh Food will host another Garden-to-Table FoodRx event celebrating our gardens and more. Alpine is a registered nurse and private chef with a passion for cooking and is committed to bringing joy back to the kitchen. Her classes focus on fresh whole foods sourced from her garden and local farmers’ markets. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with others and embrace the benefits of healthy eating.
Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Location: USA Health Mapp Family Campus Teaching Kitchen (3rd Floor)

About FoodRx: Our “FoodRx Healthy Cooking Class” brings 20 dinner guests together to enjoy a hands-on, healthy cooking workshop with nutritional insights and health statistics from local physicians, nurses, dietitians and a professional chef. FoodRx events are meant to share the positive impact culinary medicine and evidence-based nutrition have on health and disease. After a brief presentation, class participants divide into groups, each preparing a portion of dinner before enjoying the communal meal together around the dinner table.
