Story Slam Events Draw Large Crowds as Community Shares Personal Stories

Hope Community is delighted to collaborate with Fairhope Storytellers to put on quarterly Story Slam Events!

Fairhope Storytellers in cooperation with Hope Community have begun holding quarterly “Story Slam” events an exciting evening of community connections! A different theme for each event is selected and storytellers take the stage to share their stories.

Story Slam Guidelines:

Stories are limited to 6 minutes
Stories should be personal and true
No notes or props (music is okay)
No -isms tolerated

Typical Event Schedule:

5:30 Registration of Storytellers

6:00 Drawing of 12 Storytellers

6:15 Storytelling begins

These events are a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community through the power of storytelling.

Thank you to all who have come out to our past Story Slams. The venues become standing room only and are always full of laughter and fellowship as we deepen community connections by listening to each other’s stories.
