This month, we’re focusing on the power of plant-based eating in cancer prevention. About FoodRx: Our FoodRx healthy cooking classes bring 20 dinner guests together to enjoy a hands-on, healthy cooking workshop with nutritional insights and health statistics from local physicians, nurses, dietitians and professional chefs. FoodRx events share the positive impact culinary medicine and evidence-based nutrition have on health and disease prevention. After a brief presentation, class participants divide into groups to prepare the dishes before gathering for the communal meal. FoodRX is a collaboration between Hope Community, USA Health’s Integrative Health and Wellness Department, and the Hive Foundation of Innisfree Hotels.
