Pollinator Garden Volunteer Day

Our Pollinator Garden is ready for a new season! 🌸 🐝 After one of our beautiful live oak trees on the Anna T. Jeanes property came down in a wind storm last year, we decided to honor its legacy by creating a pollinator garden around it. We brought in rich soil and compost, and thanks to a mighty group of volunteers, we planted more than thirty native flowers. The garden flourished in the hot summer months, serving as a vibrant sanctuary for bees, ladybugs, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
This year, board member Ann Lemis oversaw the replenishment of the garden with local, indigenous pollinator plants. As the flowers return, so do the weeds! We are putting together a monthly “weeding team” to keep this special space thriving. We would love your help.
