About the Chef:
Chef Cassie Powers has a passion for food. For her, there’s no better way to pursue that passion than by preparing delicious meals for her clients every day.
After graduating from the Gulf Coast Culinary Institute in 2011, Cassie discovered that the best way to share her love of food was by becoming an independent personal chef. “I’ve always loved cooking for others. I think there’s something really special about how food brings people together.”
Whether she’s crafting a custom menu for a family vacationing on the Gulf Coast, catering an intimate beachside wedding reception, or planning a fun getaway with friends, Cassie works with her clients to create ideal dining experiences. From the initial consultation to on-site preparation, she offers personalized service and gourmet-quality dishes that can’t be replicated anywhere else on the Gulf Coast.

About FoodRx: Our FoodRx Healthy Cooking Class and Dinner events brings 20 dinner guests together to enjoy a hands-on, healthy cooking workshop with nutritional insights and health statistics from local physicians, nurses, dietitians and a professional chef. FoodRx events are meant to share the positive impact culinary medicine and evidence-based nutrition have on health and disease. After a brief presentation, class participants divide into groups, each preparing a portion of dinner before enjoying the communal meal together around the dinner table.
